HOW TO WRITE AN INVITATION FOR ANY PARTY!
1. You will want to include the type of event (birthday, bridal shower, baby shower,etc.).
2. You will want to include the place, date and time. If you are having an R.S.V.P., include the R.S.V.P. date and a contact person with phone number.
3. Be specific about who is invited, whether it be with addresee only or with a guest. If they are married and/or have children, list their names if they are invited.
4. You should include the person(s) hosting the occasion.
Tips: If the invite is for a type of event that honors someone (baby or bridal shower), make sure to include that persons name.
If guests are not from the area, make sure to include a map and location of event. You will want to include the names and phone numbers of local hotels, if guests may be spending the night.
Send the invitation in advance depending upon the formaility of the occasion.
casual dinners - 2 weeks
baby or bridal shower - 3-4 weeks
birthday party 2-3 weeks
weddings 6-8 weeks
